Daman Keshan

Daman Keshan (دامن کشان) is a Persian version of the widely shared regional folk melody commonly known as Sari Gelin. Variants of this melody have long been sung across Iran, the Caucasus and Anatolia, including within Azerbaijani, Armenian, Turkish, Persian and other regional musical traditions. The song is known under different names, texts and interpretations in different communities, and its precise national origin has been the subject of differing and sometimes competing attributions. Rather than assigning the melody exclusively to one tradition, this edition acknowledges it as part of the interconnected musical heritage of the region. Qlavist note: Audition Mode works without a keyboard. Interactive practice & real-time feedback require a MIDI keyboard — see compatibility & setup.
