Octaves Ascending/Descending 1-Octave (1/4 Notes)
One-octave octaves ascending and descending in 4/4 time add control of return movement to the basic octave pattern. Quarter notes keep the pacing clear so you can hear the full contour, balance both notes of each octave, and keep the wrist flexible through the change of direction. This exercise strengthens coordination while keeping the range manageable.
