Keep the opening dolce section singing and well sustained, with the right hand shaping the accented melodic notes calmly over the left hand’s legato broken accompaniment. Observe the tenuto marks carefully: give those notes weight and length without turning them harsh, and keep the inner moving notes smooth and connected.
